Blacks and Blues

Bobbi Humphrey made *Blacks and Blues* for Blue Note in 1973. Larry Mizell wrote and produced most of it, and the record puts a jazz flute over a funk rhythm section with electric piano and strings. It is one of the records that later hip hop producers went back to.
